Deep-Sea Heavy Equipment | CFM Shortlisted for Jiangsu Provincial Demonstration List of Cutting-edge Technology Application Scenarios (2025)

Recently, the Department of Science and Technology of Jiangsu Province and the Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission released the 2025 Demonstration List for the Construction of Cutting-edge Technology Application Scenarios. As a subsidiary of Beijing Research Institute of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, China Academy of Machinery Science and Technology, CFM’s project Complete Sets of Underwater Hydraulic Pile Hammers and Their Application for Deep-Sea Oil & Gas Exploitation and Floating Offshore Wind Platforms was selected as one of the 49 demonstration cutting-edge technology application scenarios.
This selection campaign focuses on key sectors of future industries to identify pioneering cutting-edge technology application scenarios, driving industrial upgrading through scenario-based innovation. The shortlisted project of CFM realizes independent control over core technologies of underwater hydraulic pile hammers, the critical equipment for ultra-deepwater anchor pile driving construction, filling the domestic technical gap in core ultra-deepwater piling equipment. As a key component of the strategic layout for the future industries of "deep sea and deep earth", the project marks solid progress in serving China’s strategy of building a strong maritime nation through scientific and technological strength.
