Wang Decheng Attends the Standards Sub-forum of the 7th Hongqiao International Economic Forum and Delivers a Keynote Speech

On November 5, the Standards Sub-forum of the 7th Hongqiao International Economic Forum was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Co-sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and the Standardization Administration of China, the sub-forum was jointly undertaken by the China Academy of Machinery Science and Technology Institute of Standardization and relevant institutions. Wang Decheng, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Group, was invited to attend and deliver a keynote speech.
The forum gathered the Secretary-General of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the Secretary-General and CEO of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), relevant officials from UNICEF, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and representatives of leading enterprises. They delivered speeches and shared practical cases centering on the sub-forum theme of "Strengthen International Cooperation on Standards for High-Quality Development of the Manufacturing Industry".
At the forum, Wang Decheng delivered a keynote speech titled Strengthen International Cooperation, Pursue Win-win Future Together, and Empower the Intelligent and Green New Development of Manufacturing via Standards. He stressed that stepping up international cooperation on standards, building risk-resilient infrastructure, achieving sustainable manufacturing development and spearheading cutting-edge innovation are key priorities for the standardization community and industrial sectors at the current stage. He stated that China Academy of Machinery Science and Technology will fully advance scientific research and standardization work for smart manufacturing and green manufacturing, strengthen close ties with global partners, and jointly make greater efforts to foster stronger and more sustainable high-quality development of the manufacturing industry.
More than 200 guests including representatives from domestic and international standardization technical institutions, industrial associations, universities, as well as Chinese and foreign enterprises attended the forum on site.
