On October 28, the General Meeting of Party Members of the Communist Party of China, Beijing Research Institute of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering (BRIMET), China Academy of Machinery Science and Technology Group, was grandly convened. Li Yuxin, Deputy Party Secretary and Director of the Group, attended the meeting and delivered a speech, while Yang Jingming, Director of the Organization Department, came to offer on-site guidance. Liang Fengshou, former leading cadre of BRIMET, external directors He Shi, Pan Lin and Tan Junguang, and Party organization principals of several subsidiaries were invited to the conference.

The meeting opened amid the solemn national anthem. Zhan Li, Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of BRIMET, presided over the session.

In his opening speech, Li Yuxin fully affirmed BRIMET’s development achievements and arduous endeavors over the past five years. He pointed out that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, BRIMET achieved dual improvements in Party building and operational performance, as well as doubled capacity in technological innovation and achievement transformation, demonstrating new accomplishments as a technology-based central SOE supporting national strategies. Facing new missions on the new journey, Li Yuxin put forward three expectations: First, uphold and strengthen the overall Party leadership, consolidate ideological foundations, and accurately translate the Party’s will and national strategies into tangible practices and innovative outcomes of BRIMET. Second, fully implement the accountability system, continuously improve work conduct, upgrade the capacity and standard of modern corporate governance, and lay a sustainable and resilient foundation for development. Third, expand organizational empowerment, bolster high-caliber talent support, forge a united, responsible and capable leadership team, stimulate internal impetus for dedication and entrepreneurship, and make greater contributions to accelerating the development of world-class enterprises as well as the grand goals of building a great modern socialist country and realizing national rejuvenation.

On behalf of the BRIMET Party Committee, Li Xianjun delivered the work report titled Empower Development through Party Building, Forge Ahead with the Party Banner, and Demonstrate New Accomplishments of Innovation-driven Central SOEs with Solid Dedication and Responsibility. The report noted that under the strong leadership of the Group Party Committee, the BRIMET Party Committee aligned Party building and reform & development objectives, shared responsibilities and created value side by side. The Institute achieved steady operational benefits, major breakthroughs in innovation, robust momentum for industrial growth, remarkable elevation of industrial standing, and vibrant Party organizations, lifting high-quality development guided by high-standard Party building to a new historical height. The report emphasized that BRIMET shall focus on developing the "Credit Enhancement & Empowerment" Party building brand, further refine the "Four Alignments & Three Integrations" Party building system, advance six empowerment initiatives under the Credit Enhancement Project, fully unleash the productive force and combat effectiveness of Party building, and strive to deliver a satisfying 15th Five-Year Plan development report worthy of the Party and the people.

On behalf of the BRIMET Commission for Discipline Inspection, Zhan Li presented the work report titled Stay True to Original Aspirations, Shoulder Missions, Strengthen Supervision and Improve Efficiency to Provide Firm Political Safeguards for BRIMET’s High-quality Development. The report comprehensively summarized the disciplinary commission’s work achievements over the past five years and clarified the overall objectives and key tasks for the next five years. Closely focusing on fulfilling the two main responsibilities, the BRIMET Discipline Inspection Commission will advance the construction of a clean Party conduct and anti-corruption work with reform spirit and strict standards, offering solid support for BRIMET to build a highland of industrial mother machines and industrial software in the forging & thermal processing sector and develop into a world-class innovative enterprise.

Each Party branch reviewed the work reports of the Party Committee and Discipline Inspection Commission, discussed the draft election rules for the conference, and deliberated on the proposed candidate list for members of the two committees as well as the list of chief scrutineers and scrutineers.

The conference elected a new session of members for the BRIMET Party Committee and Commission for Discipline Inspection. Members of the Party Committee: Li Xianjun, Zhan Li, Cong Peiwu, Zhai Yuewen, Shi Yiqing. Members of the Commission for Discipline Inspection: Zhan Li, Du Guijiang, Hao Yuan.

The meeting voted to adopt the resolutions on the work reports of the BRIMET Party Committee and Discipline Inspection Commission. The conference concluded triumphantly amid the majestic song The Internationale.

The conference called on all Party members, cadres and staff of BRIMET to closely rally around the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core. Under the leadership of the newly elected Party Committee and Discipline Inspection Commission, the Institute will further improve the "Credit Enhancement & Empowerment" Party building system, strive to build innovation, industrial and standard highlands for high-end industrial mother machines and industrial software, strive to be red pioneers leading the forging & thermal processing industry and pacesetters of national strategic scientific and technological forces for precision forming, guide and guarantee high-quality development via high-standard Party building, and showcase new accomplishments of innovation-driven central SOEs through solid dedication and responsibility.

After the conference, the newly elected two committees held their first plenary meeting, which elected the Secretary of the Party Committee and the Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China, Beijing Research Institute of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Co., Ltd.
